Bob,
I was searching for some new music and came across your site. The music is fantastic - I love the songs. I'd heard from my sister that you were in the Atlanta area. My prayers and love to you and the family.

Hi Bob,
I'm just back from the 40th reunion at Waukegan High, which brought on a flood of memories. We met a few times, but I doubt you remember me. I used to hang out with Bob DeGroot, Mike and Bob Toto, and other fledgling musicians basking in the glow of the Bryds. I loved that band, your playing, singing, stage commentary back in the "Yarddog" days. Glad to see you're still making great music. Bob McPeek

Bob,
I used to attend a lot of the Bryds, Outspoken Blues concerts at the "Hangout", "Slovenik Hall", "Lithuanian Hall" and the "Wild Goose". I was one of the dumb-ass high school kids that used to watch you guys play. Some of my friends and I had a garage band but we never played anywhere but in the garage (actually the basement). You're the one who really got me interested in the blues back then. You guys (Bryds) always did great renditions of Animals and Paul Butterfield Blues Band songs, and others. Brings back a lot of good memories. I quit playing guitar 37 or 38 years ago and I'm just starting to pick it up again. It's almost like I never played. I'm really sorry I sold (gave away?) all of my equipment back in the early seventies.
Do you know if Bill Kirchmeyer is going to be at your picnic? I got to know him reasonably well back then.
It looks like the picnic you have planned is invitation only. Is there any way to wrangle an invitation to that gig? My wife and sone would like to come to it. My wife used to attend some of the dances all of you guys played at and my son is interested in music and plays a little guitar. He said he'd like to hear you guys. I assume you'll all be playing there, too.

The EMAN pushed The Roadman CD toward me and said matter of factly, "listen to this, you'll like it". I took IT with me on a boring drive to North Chicago. First cut,
Baby's Like a Train, damn tasty and a rockin tune ! EMan's words echoed in my ears,
"if it's too loud, you're too old". I turned it up to "11"....cut two Who That Girl? Oh man the windows are about to implode and I look down at me speedo, I'm cruising at 85 in a 55 speed zone. North Chicago cops have no sense of humor and would never believe my reason for breaking the law and why are you're ears bleeding!!!!
So it goes Robert Stanley, I've never met you and I've never heard your guitar before, but man your CD is great !!! No wait GREAT !!!
EMan was right "listen to this, you'll like it"
